SayMail ("the App") is a voice-to-email application developed for personal use. This policy describes what data the App accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.
The App accesses your device microphone solely to record your spoken message. Audio recordings are temporarily uploaded to a secure server for transcription using speech-to-text technology and are not retained after transcription is complete.
The App may access your device's GPS location when you explicitly enable the "Always Append Location" setting, or when you speak a location trigger phrase ("send location", "add location", "set location"). Location data is appended to the outgoing email body only and is not stored by the App or transmitted to any third party beyond the email recipient you have configured.
If you choose Other Email Service (SMTP) as your send method, your SMTP credentials (host, port, username, and password) are stored exclusively in your device's encrypted keychain using iOS Secure Enclave. They are never transmitted to any server other than the SMTP server you specify.
If you use the SayMail Email Service (the default), your messages are sent via a shared sending infrastructure operated by the app developer. Emails are sent from no-reply@saymail.me to the recipient address you configure. No message content is stored or retained after delivery.
The App does not collect analytics, usage data, advertising identifiers, or any personally identifiable information beyond what is described above.
The App uses a speech-to-text service for audio transcription. Audio is transmitted over an encrypted connection and deleted immediately after transcription. No audio is retained or used for training purposes.
